Today I will be making peanut chaat. This is a combination of peanuts, tomatoes, cucumbers mixed with spices. This is very delicious and satisfying snack. Not to mention, very healthy and low-carbohydrates. This can be served as an appetizer or anytime spicy snack. This recipe will serve 4. For this recipe we will need: 1/2 cup of raw peanuts 3/4 cup of tomatoes, cut in small cubes. 3/4 cup of cucumber, cut in small cubes. I am using the English cucumber. And I did not peel off the skin it gives a nice color. 1 teaspoon of salt 1/8 teaspoon of turmeric (haldi) 1/2 teaspoon of roasted cumin seed powder (bhuna jeera) 1/2 teaspoon of mango powder (amchoor) 1/4 teaspoon of sugar 1/8 teaspoon of black pepper 1/8 teaspoon of red chilli powder 1 green chilli finely chopped 1 tablespoon ginger finely chopped And about 1 tablespoon of lemon juice. I have already boiled the peanuts in 2 cups of water 1/2 teaspoon of salt and turmeric for about 25 minutes. Just make sure peanuts are tender. Then drain the water and let it cool to room temperature. As you see peanuts have become 1.5 times in volume. And turmeric has given nice color. Now mix all the ingredients together with peanuts. And peanut chaat is ready to serve. Let’s get started. I am ready to make the peanut chaat.
